Our knowledge of cattle production practices has not only been obtained in the field but in the classroom as well. Michael graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Animal Science. While in college, he completed internships in the field of cattle genetics with ABS and Genex.
Upon returning home to purchase the family farm, Michael was employed by the USDA as an agricultural commodity grader (meat) in the Philadelphia area and sold animal health products farm-to-farm in Lancaster County.
