In October 08, we had the exciting opportunity to purchase a quarter interest in a proven breed leader Bar B 838C Red Dog from Mettler Polled Herefords in Menno, South Dakota.  Red Dog will be the cornerstone in which we will develop our Hereford operation around.

We selected Red Dog because he is a multi-trait breed leader with an outcross pedigree.  His EPD’s are second to none excelling in numerous components creating the type of balanced sire that we are all looking for.  He produces easy fleshing cattle that are built for longevity.  Red Dog daughters do not seem to age and exhibit excellent maternal characteristics.   His pigmentation is unparalleled which leads to those beautiful red eyed calves that top sales throughout the country.
